As the sprayer runs low, I will "empty" it by spraying the foliage of the plants. This takes me 3-4 times with my 2gal sprayer as I have a lot of plants to cover, then wait 40-60 minutes and finish watering them. They all have a benefit in some way, along with CalMag+ (not enough calcium I have found in Neptune's for some plants - particularly larger peppers) on top of Recharge for growers all mixed into the water, I water the plants again. Fish and Seaweed, Tomato and Veg, and Rose and Flowers. I use all 3 of Neptune's harvest fertilizers.

This is to let water seep into the soil, and create pathways like you see in water irrigation in a creek, on your down gutter of your house, etc. I water my plants half of what I would normally water them first. I'm not a fan of mixers on hoses, as I am one who tries to not get my foliage excessively wet for fungal issues like blight on tomatoes. Plants are the same way, I use a cheap 2 gallon pump sprayer, not a mixer at the end of a hose. An example: We as humans can absorb water through our skin, do you recall a time you could stop drinking water and your showers / swimming was enough to keep you hydrated and watered? No, because we don't absorb enough that way. Plants don't absorb a lot of water through the leaves, thus making it more of a supplement than a primary way to provide nutrients. Be mindful of when you water and how you use it as a foliar spray.
